Fresh Appeal Issued In Co Antrim Burglary Probe

Police have appealed to the public for help identifying a man who they believe may be able to assist an investigation into a burglary in County Antrim.

A licensed premises on the Carnlough Road in Broughshane was targeted on Thursday 17 January.

Releasing a picture of the man, police said they believe he may be able to assist with enquiries and have appealed to him, or anyone who knows him, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 103 of 17/01/19.

A 30-year-old Limavady man has been sentenced at Antrim Crown Court for five offences including assault occasioning actual bodily harm, domestic abuse and common assault. Eamon Begley was sentenced to four years – two years in prison and two years on licence.

Suspected Class B drugs with an estimated street value of £10,000 has been seized during a search operation in the Waterside are of L'Derry on Monday, 08 April. District Support Team (DST) officers made the seizures, assisted by Tactical Support Group colleagues, during two searches at addresses yesterday morning.

Appeal Issued On Tenth Anniversary Over Murder Of NI Man In Donegal
Gardai have issued an appeal for information on the tenth anniversary of the murder of Northern Ireland man Andrew Burns. The 27-year-old was discovered on church grounds in Castlefin, Donegal, on 12 February. He had been shot several times. The murder was blamed on dissident republican group Óglaigh na hÉireann.

Police Believe Hook May Have Been Used To Attack Elderly Disabled Man
Police believe a hook may have been used by thugs to attack an elderly disabled man at his home in the Bessbrook area, Co Armagh, in the early hours of Monday morning. A man in his seventies sustained multiple stab wounds in the attack which happened in Clogharevan Park. He is currently being treated in hospital.

Appeal Following Serious Assault And Robbery In Antrim
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses after a man was assaulted and robbed in Antrim during the early hours of Monday, 18 March. The 26-year-old was walking in an alleyway adjacent to Seacash Drive at around 3.50am when he was approached by two men.
