Body Found In Search For Nora Quoirin

A body has been found this morning in the search for missing teenager Nora Quoirin.

Malaysian police said the body was found near the Dusan resort where the vulnerable 15-year-old disappeared from nine days ago.

It has not yet been confirmed if it is Nora, however the Lucie Blackman Trust, a missing persons charity handling all media enquiries for the family, said it "seems likely" to be the teen.

Investigations are underway to confirm the identity and cause of death.

Nora, who has special educational needs, disappeared from her room at the jungle resort on Sunday 04 August. Over 300 search and rescue personnel had been scouring the surrounding dense jungle area.

The parents of the missing teen, whose mother is from Belfast, yesterday offered a £10,000 reward for information that leads directly to her safe return. The money had been donated by an anonymous Belfast-based business.
