Cold Callers Offering Knives For Sale In Co Down
The PSNI is reminding members of the public to be vigilant when dealing with cold callers following reports of individuals offering knives for sale in County Down.
A number incidents were reported in the village of Donaghcloney, near Craigavon, in recent days. The individuals were last seen in the Main Street area, calling to doors and driving in a red panel van.
A spokesperson for PSNI Craigavon warned: "Please be careful when dealing with callers to the door, always ask for ID, and if you entertain obtaining their services or items for sale always ask for a written quote before any work or services are provided.
"These cold callers prey on elderly and vulnerable people in our area. Lets help keep everyone safe."
Anyone whose house is approached in suspicious circumstances, or who witnesses vehicles acting suspiciously in the area or further afield is urged to contact police on 101 or 999 in the case of an emergency.

Cold Callers Target Elderly Residents In Ballymoney
Elderly and vulnerable residents in the Ballymoney area are being targeted by cold callers requesting that they hand over any new £5 notes. A man and woman claiming to be from the government are asking residents to return all notes to them as they are no longer of legal tender.

Woman Arrested Following Craigavon Search Operation
A 33-year-old woman has been arrested by the PSNI's Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) following a search in the Craigavon area on Tuesday 27th February. As a result of the search, a quantity of suspected Class B controlled drugs were seized, alongside cash and mobile devices. The items were taken away for further forensic examination.
