Pensioner Dies In Co L'Derry Collision

An elderly woman has died after she was struck by a motorcycle in Co L'Derry on Thursday.

Police said the collision occurred at around 5.50pm on the Drumrane Road in Limavady.

The woman, aged in her 90s, was walking on the road when she was struck. She died at the scene.

The motorcyclist was taken to hospital for his injuries, and is in critical but stable condition.

Police are investigating the collision and have appealed for anyone who witnessed or may have captured dash cam footage of the incident to contact them using non-emergency line 101.

A man has been shot in both legs in the latest paramilitary-style attack in L'Derry. The incident happened in the Moss Park area at around 10pm on Monday 30 September. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment after sustaining gunshot wounds in both legs.

Arrest As Children Struck By Car In West Belfast
