Appeal As Woman Sexually Assaulted In Omagh
Police are investigating a serious sexual assault on a woman in Omagh.
The victim, aged her twenties, was walking in the Fairmont Cottages area of the town shortly before 3.05am on Sunday morning, 13 October, when she was dragged into an alleyway by an unknown male.
The attacker sexually assaulted the woman beside Eastview Terrace, before making off when he was disturbed by a passer by.
Detective Sergeant Jarleth Lennon said: "This was a horrific experience for the victim, who has understandably been left deeply traumatised."
Police are appealing to the passerby to get in touch and assist with their enquiries.
Any members of the public who were in the area and saw what happened, or who have information that could assist the investigation are urged to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 323 of 13/10/10.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.

Renewed Appeal For Help Tracing Paula Elliott
The PSNI have issued a fresh appeal for help in tracing the whereabouts of Paula Elliott, who was last seen on Tuesday, 05 March. The 52-year-old was last seen on CCTV cameras leaving the Sprucefield Court area of Lisburn at 5.30pm, before making her way to Warren Gardens at around 5.36pm.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the theft of three quad bikes and a quad trailer in the Magherafelt area last week. On Tuesday 5th March police received reports that a Dark Green Suzuki King 750CC Quad and a Red 2022 4x4 quad had been taken from two neighbouring properties in the Quilly Road area of Moneymore.

Public Appeal After Third Confirmed Case Of Measles In Ireland
The Public Health Agency (PHA) has announced that it has been made aware of a third confirmed case of measles in the Republic of Ireland. It is understood that the case was confirmed in a resident of Ireland who had arrived back in the country from Abu Dhabi on Saturday 9 March 2024.
