Newry Legal Firm Doubles Workspace With £1.7m Investment

Northern Ireland's leading personal injury and road traffic law firm JMK Solicitors has doubled its office space in Newry with an investment of £1.7 million.

In a transaction supported by Danske Bank, the company acquired Canal House, a five story building located on St. Mary's Street in one of the largest commercial property deals this year.

The expansion comes as the firm, which services clients from all over Northern Ireland, experiences a period of significant growth. The last five years saw cases more than double and the team grow to over 75 members across the Belfast and Newry offices, facilitating the need for increased space.

Managing Director Maurece Hutchinson said the firm has purchased the whole building after renting a floor since 2014.

"We have already completely fitted out an extra floor to an exceptionally high specification. We feel it is important to provide the best working environment for our team. This will us helps both retain and attract staff," Mr Hutchinson explained.

JMK have held the position as the leading personal injury law firm in NI for five consecutive years, handling more cases locally than any other legal firm. The progressive company has also invested heavily in staff recruitment, training, brand awareness and technology in recent years.
