Man Suffers Broken Jaw As Masked Gang Burgle Property

A man in his 20s has been assaulted by a gang of masked men during an aggravated burglary in west Belfast.

The victim suffered a suspected broken jaw and other injuries to his face and body when assaulted at a house in the West Circular Road area of Belfast on Wednesday night, 13 November.

The incident occurred shortly before 10.40pm and saw the three masked men enter the house armed with a hammer, baseball bat and suspected firearm.

The victim was taken to hospital for his injuries.

Police said a silver Volkswagen Passat was stolen from the property.

Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone who witnessed suspicious activity is asked to contact detectives on 101, quoting reference number 1891 of 13/11/19. Details can also be provided in confidence by contacting Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

A couple were recovering today after they were shot at by two masked men in east Belfast last night. The man and his wife were leaving a club on Sandbrook Avenue at around 11.15pm when they were approached by two masked men. One man pointed a gun at the couple and a shot was fired.

Woman Assaulted By Masked Men In West Belfast
A gang of masked men have assaulted a woman in west Belfast. The attack happened at a property on Albert Street between 10.30pm and 11pm on Sunday, 11 September. The victim, aged in her 30s, sustained an injury to her arm, however it is not believed she required medical treatment. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
