Man Critical Following L'Derry Assault

A man is in critical condition following a serious assault in L'Derry.

The 28 year-old was attacked in a house in the Cornshell Fields area of the city this morning, Monday 02 December.

The incident occurred shortly after 2am, leaving the victim hospitalised for treatment to potentially life threatening injuries, where his condition is described as critical.

Three other men and two women were also in the house at the time, however no one else has been injured.

Four males, who are believed to have been involved in the incident, are reported to have made off in a grey coloured Volkswagen Golf.

Detective Sergeant Richard Donnell has appealed for anyone who saw the assault or a car matching the description in the area to contact investigating officers in Strand Road on 101, quoting reference 107 of 02/12/19.
