Man Due In Court As Police Cars Rammed
A man is due to appear in court after two PSNI vehicles were rammed during an incident in Forkhill, Co Armagh.
The 38 year-old is facing a number of motor-related offences after he failed to stop for police at around 11.40pm on the Newry Road in North Bridge. Two PSNI vehicles were also rammed by the offending car.
The suspect has been charged with driving with excess alcohol in breath, failing to stop for police, no driving licence and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
He is due to appear before Newry Magistrates Court today, Thursday 09 January.

The PSNI has arrested two men following separate incidents in Belfast yesterday evening and overnight, where police vehicles were intentionally rammed. West Belfast Incident At approximately 11:20 pm yesterday, officers in West Belfast detected a vehicle driving suspiciously in the Falls Road area.

Two police officers have been injured and have not yet returned to duty after their vehicles were rammed in separate incidents in Cookstown and Jonesborough. At approximately 7.50pm on Friday night, officers on patrol in the Beechview area of Cookstown signalled for a black Mercedes B Class to stop.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.
