Arrest As Man Stabbed In Belfast

Police have made an arrest after a stabbing in Belfast.

A man has been hospitalised for treatment to a number of stab wounds following the incident at a house in the Fortwilliam Parade area. It's understood the stabbing occured at around midnight on Wednesday 15 January.

Detectives arrested a 27 year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder. He remains in police custody.

Detective Sergeant William Arnott appealed to anyone who witnessed or heard anything unusual in the area to contact detectives at Musgrave on 101 quoting reference 10 of 16/01/20.

Malcolm McKeown: Police Make One Arrest
Detectives probing the fatal shooting of Malcolm McKeown outside a Co Down petrol station have arrested a man in his twenties. Mr McKeown, aged 54, was found dead in his car outside Dewart's Garage in Waringstown on Monday 19 August. He had been shot six times. The suspect, aged 26, has been taken to Musgrave Station for questioning.

Murder inquiry launched in County Down
Detectives in County Down have launched a murder inquiry after a man was fatally stabbed during an incident yesterday evening. The attack happened in the Derrybeg area of Newry at around 7.30pm, when it is understood that the victim intervened in a row.

Man Charged Over Robbery At Fast-Food Outlet In Newtownards
A man is to appear in court after being charged in connection with a robbery at a fast-food outlet in Newtownards, Co Down. Police charged the man, aged 28, with two counts of robbery, one count of attempted robbery and three counts of possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Woman charged in connection with murder of Fermanagh man
A woman, who was arrested by police following the death of a man in County Fermanagh in the early hours of Wednesday morning, has today been charged with his murder. Stephen Robinson, 39, was discovered stabbed to death at his home at Cullaghmore Road in Irvinestown, at around 3.25am.

Police make further appeal in west Belfast killing
Police have appealed to a Belfast taxi driver to contact them in relation to the murder of Geraldine Kane last week. The 47-year-old mother of four was found stabbed to death in a house in Cavendish Square off the Falls Road on Tuesday.
