Pair Charged Over £1m Cannabis Raid
Two men have been charged in connection with the discovery of cannabis worth £1 million in Belfast.
The suspects, aged 29 and 61 years-old, face charges for possession of a class B controlled drug with intent to supply, conspiracy to supply a class B controlled drug and possessing criminal property.
The men were arrested after officers stopped a car travelling on the Ravenhill Road on Tuesday afternoon, 28 January.
A significant quantity of cannabis was then uncovered during follow up searches at a local address.
Both appeared at Belfast Magistrates' Court this morning, Thursday 30 January, while a third man arrested on Tuesday, aged 43, has been released unconditionally in relation to the drug-related offences.
The 29-year-old man was additionally charged with possession of a false identity document.
The PSNI sought assistance from Immigration and Enforcement officers in the case.
All charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service, as is normal procedure.

Four Charged In Connection With Blake Newland Murder
Four people are due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland. The Limavady teenager died after being found with serious stab wounds at a house in the town on Friday, 02 February. Detectives investigating the murder, have now charged two men, aged 27 and 29, with murder.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.

Man Arrested In Connection With Serious Assault In East Belfast
A 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following a serious assault in east Belfast on Thursday 29th February. At approximately 11.20pm last night police were called to a property in the Montrose Street area following the report of an injured woman.
