Birmingham Pub Bombing Arrest 'Significant Step For Victims'
The arrest of man in Belfast in connection with the 1974 Birmingham pub bombings has been welcomed as a "very significant step for the victims".
Welcoming the news DUP South Belfast MLA Christopher Stalford, said: "This is a very significant step for the victims. I remember when the families came to meet the then First Minister in 2013. No one could have failed to be moved by their pain and anguish.
"This advancement in the case is a reminder for those who committed horrendous deeds during the Troubles, that the wheels of justice trundle along.
"I trust the investigation and the arrest will assist the police in getting to a place where a prosecution can be made for the act of absolutely barbarity and cruelty."
