Man released in murder investigation
Police have released a man being questioned over a fatal shooting in Co Down on Wednesday.
It follows the death of 47-year-old builder, Andrew Cully, who died following a shooting incident in the loyalist West Winds estate of Newtownards.
Mr Cully died after being shot up to ten times as he sat in his parked car at Beaufort Walk in the town.
The area around the scene was cordoned off by police in order to conduct a forensic examination.
Police are continuing to investigate the death.

Man Arrested Over Paramilitary-Style Shooting In L'Derry
A man has been arrested in connection with a paramilitary-style shooting in Co L'Derry. A 33-year-old man was shot in the legs and abdomen in the Lisfannon Park area on Tuesday, 08 August. Police described the assault as "brutal and horrific". The 43-year-old suspect was detained in L'Derry on Tuesday, 15 August.

The PSNI have welcomed a two-year Stalking Protection Order (SPO) handed down to a 46-year-old Belfast man at Belfast Magistrates Court. The man had been found guilty of stalking and harassing his 50-year-old female ex-partner.

Man Jailed For Manslaughter Of David James Conville
A 31-year-old man has been jailed at Belfast Crown Court for the manslaughter of David James Conville in south Belfast in May, 2022. Edward Kelly was sentenced to serve three-and-a-half years, half of his sentence will be served in custody and half will be served on licence, following his guilty plea last November.

Death Of Kilkeel Man Being Treated As Murder
A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Kilkeel. On Thursday, 21 March, police received a report of a concern for safety for a couple at a property in the Newcastle Road area of the town shortly after 12.50pm. On arrival, officers located the body of a man who was unconscious and not breathing.
