Man Stabbed In The Head In West Belfast

A 58-year-old man is being treated in hospital following an alleged stabbing in West Belfast.

Police were called to the scene of a suspected assault at a house on Norglen Parade at about 8pm last night, Wednesday 14 July. When police arrived a man was found to have suffered stab wounds to his head and wrist and was taken to hospital.

A 33-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm in connection with the incident.

Police Cancel Appeal For Missing Omagh Man
Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. No further details have been released but police thanked the public for their help.

A pensioner and teenager have been taken to hospital with stab wounds following an incident in north Belfast. Emergency services were called to a house in Benview Park on Monday morning, October 29, following reports that two people had been stabbed.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
