McConville inquest to be reopened
An inquest into the death of a Belfast woman murdered 30 years ago is to re-open in the Republic of Ireland today.
The original hearing into the death of Jean McConville was adjourned six weeks ago at the request of some of her family.
They wanted more time to have evidence examined by their own independent experts.
Today's inquest, in Dundalk, Co Louth will call for Gardai files to be released for examining by the family's investigation team.
Mrs McConville was 37-years-old when she was abducted from her Belfast home in 1972 after coming to the aid of a British soldier who had been shot outside her front door.
She was later taken to a beach near Carlingford and shot dead.
Her body was discovered on Shilling Hill beach last August by a man out walking his dog.
She was one of 10 so-called 'Disappeared' who were abducted by the IRA, executed and secretly buried in the early 1970's.

A murder investigation has been launched following the death of a man in Kilkeel. On Thursday, 21 March, police received a report of a concern for safety for a couple at a property in the Newcastle Road area of the town shortly after 12.50pm. On arrival, officers located the body of a man who was unconscious and not breathing.

Daniel Sebastian Allen has been sentenced to life in prison for the deaths of three people in a deliberate house fire in Derrylin, Co Fermanagh, in 2018. The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to starting a fire at a house, which lead to the death of four people, including a baby girl.

'Significant Quantity' Of Tablets Discovered On Co Down Beach
The PSNI have issued a warning following the discovery of a "significant quantity" of tablets of County Down's Cloughey beach on the afternoon of Wednesday, 03 April. Officers responded to reports that large quantity of tablets in plastic blister packs had been found on the beach.
