Spate Of Overnight Burglaries In Newtownabbey

Police have launched an investigation after a number of house in the Newtownabbey area were broken into overnight.

Detectives have issued an appeal for information after homes on St.Anne's Crescent, Carnvue Gardens, Carnvue Road areas were entered sometime between midnight and 7.30am today, Monday 29 November. It is understood that a sum of money and a number of other items were removed from the homes.

Police have said that they received a report of a man wearing a beanie style at, grey coloured top and gloves, was seen in the back garden of a house on Ferndale Crescent, however the man was disturbed by a dog and fled.

Anyone with any information about the incidents, in particular if anyone saw anything or anyone suspicious, is asked to contact police.

The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Man Arrested In Connection With Newtownards Hit-And-Run
A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident in Newtownards on Saturday, 16 September. A man, aged in his 40s, is being treated in hospital after he was deliberately struck by a car in the Old Shore Road area of the town, at around 11:45pm. His injuries are said to be serious but not life threatening.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In North Belfast
Police have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in north Belfast. A man is being treated in hospital after he was reportedly beaten by a number of men at a house on meadow Grove. According to police a number of masked me forced their way into the property and proceeded to beat the victim with suspected metal bars.
