Two Men Arrested Over Assault At Cavehill Country Park

Two people have been arrested after a man was assaulted in Cavehill Country Park on Monday, 29 November.

A man, aged in his 40s, has been released on bail pending further enquiries and the other man, aged in his 30s, remains in police custody.

The pair were arrested on suspicion of attempted grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

The victim received hospital treatment.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Five to appear in court in connecton with Bangor robbery
Five youths are to appear in Downpatrick Magistrates Court today charged in connection with the robbery of an off-licence in Bangor on Tuesday night. Two youths, who entered the premises on the Rathgael Road, assaulted two female members of staff before making off with a sum of money and alcohol.
