Two Men Charged In Connection With Roy Reynolds Murder

Two men has been charged in connection with the murder of Roy Reynolds (54), whose body was recovered from North Woodburn Reservoir on Monday morning.

A 32-year-old man has been charged with Mr Reynold's murder, while a 68-year-old man has been charged with assisting an offender.

The two men will appear before Laganside Magistrates' Court today, Friday 01 April.

A 48-year-old woman was also arrested in connection with the case has been released on bail pending further investigation.

Roy Reynolds Murder 'Barbaric And Horrific'
Roy Reynolds, the man whose body was recovered from North Woordburn Reservoir in Carrickfergus suffered a "barbaric and horrific" death, Belfast Magistrates' Court has heard. Two men, aged 32 and 64, appeared before the court on Friday 01 April charged in connection with the murder of Mr Reynolds.

Two men have been jailed at Belfast Crown Court in connection with the "horrific and callous" murder of Roy Reynolds in County Antrim in 2022. Michael Campbell, 34, was handed a life sentence last December after pleading guilty to Mr Reynold's murder.

Lawyer considers client's 'overexposure'
The lawyer of a senior north Belfast loyalist has warned that he may report the Chief Constable, Sir Hugh Orde, and an unnamed Sunday newspaper editor to the Attorney General for over exposure of his client. Ihab Shoukri, from Alliance Road, was today remanded on continuing bail charged two counts of being a member of the UDA/UFF.

Fresh McDaid Arrest Made
Police have arrested a 20-year-old man in connection with the murder of Coleraine father-of-four Kevin McDaid. Detectives detained the man in the town last night. This brings the total number of arrests over the killing to 25. Mr McDaid was beaten to death by a loyalist mob in May.
