9-Year-Old Dies In Bike Collision In Ballymena

The PSNI has issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Ballymena.

A nine-year-old has died, and another 13-year-old boy is in a critical condition in hospital, after they collided while riding bikes in the Dunclug area of Ballymena at around 16:55 on Thursday, 16 June.

A full investigation is underway and Detective Sergeant Neil Harrison is appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has mobile phone footage which could assist officers with their enquiries, is asked to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1342 of 16/06/22

Police have said that at the request of his family, they will not be releasing the boy's name or any further details at this time.

On Tuesday 5th March police received reports that a Dark Green Suzuki King 750CC Quad and a Red 2022 4x4 quad had been taken from two neighbouring properties in the Quilly Road area of Moneymore.

Man dies in road accident
A 28-year-old man has been killed in a road traffic collision on the M2 bypass near Ballymena last night. The man was walking on the road when he was struck by a vehicle. The collision happened just before 9pm on the northbound carriageway of the M2 bypass between the Broughshane Road interchange and the Larne Road roundabout.

Appeal Following Petrol Bomb Attack In Banbridge
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Banbridge, in the early hours of Tuesday 19th March. It was reported that at around 2.10am on Tuesday morning, two petrol bombs were thrown at the back wall of a house in the Castlewellan Road area, causing scorch damage to the wall and a window frame.
