Appeal For Information On Fatal Collision Outside Newtownards

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following a fatal two-vehicle collision outside Newtownards just after midnight on Tuesday, 28th June.

A man, aged in his 50s, has died after the motorbike he was riding was involved in a collision with a red Nissan car on the Portaferry Road.

The driver of the car was taken to hospital for treatment to minor injuries.

An investigation is underway and Sergeant Amanda McIvor is appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who has mobile phone or dashcam footage which could assist officers with their enquiries, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 14 of 28/06/22.

Suspected Firearm Recovered During PSNI Operation In Ardmore
The PSNI's Terrorism Investigation Unit (TIU) have recovered a suspected firearm in Ardmore in L'Derry. During a search in the Rushall Road area, the suspected firearm was located in the vicinity of a graveyard. Enquiries continue, and the suspected firearm will now be the subject of forensic testing.

Renewed Appeal For Information Over Fatal Newtownards Collision
The PSNI have renewed their appeal for information on a fatal collision outside Newtownards on Tuesday 28 June. 58-year-old Lee Noble, from the Portavogie area, died as a result of injuries sustained when the grey Kawasaki motorbike he was riding was in collision with a car on the Portaferry Road outside Newtownards just after midnight on Tuesday.
