Security Alert Ongoing In L'Derry

A number of homes have been evacuated in the Glen Road area of L'Derry as security services examined a suspicious object.

The security alert began at around 11am this morning, Monday 31 October.

The PSNI have urged the public to avoid the area while the operation continues.

Police have condemned the incident, which they said has caused a major disruption.
