Tenth Arrest Made In DCI Caldwell Investigation

A 45-year-old man has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of Detective Chief Inspector (DCI) John Caldwell in the Killyclogher Road area of Omagh on Wednesday 22nd February.

The PSNI's Major Investigation Team made the arrest, the tenth in the ongoing investigation, in the Belfast area under the Terrorism Act. The man is currently being detained at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.

To date, eight men aged 72, 57, 47, 45, 43, 33 & 22 years old, have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder. All eight men have been released following questioning.

A 25-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the claim of responsibility made following the attempted murder of DCI Caldwell has been released following questioning.

The investigation continues.
