Petrol bomb thrown at restaurant

Police in Co Armagh are appealing for information following a petrol bomb attack early this morning.

A restaurant in the Union Street area of Lurgan was the target of the attack shortly after midnight. No one was injured in the incident.

It is believed that one male was involved in the attack and may have fled in the direction of nearby Russell Drive.

Police have appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Lurgan PSNI station.

Two Released From Hospital After Restaurant Fire
Two people have been released from hospital following a restaurant fire in Donaghadee, Co Down. Fire crews were called to The Bull and Claw restaurant on Moat Street at around 10am on Wednesday 04 December. Police Officers Set Upon In Lisburn
A man has been arrested following an incident in Lisburn that left two police officers covered in paint. The suspect was detained on suspicion of damaging his ankle tag by trying to cut it off and breaching his bail. He also allegedly threw a tin of white paint over the two officers and assaulted them, gouging one of their eyes in the process.

Police Step Up Roadside Breath Testing
Police have warned anyone who takes the "unacceptable risk" of driving while impaired by drink or drugs to expect to be detected by police. It comes as the annual winter Anti-Drink and Drug Drive operation is launched, with officers to step up their efforts to catch those who chose to break the law while driving.

Arrests As Car Rams Police Vehicle In Co Armagh
Three people have been arrested after a car rammed a police vehicle in Newry. The incident involving a black Audi car occurred on Wednesday, 27 November. A PSNI spokesperson said the car matched the description of a vehicle spotted leaving the scene of a burglary earlier that morning in Belleeks.

Arrest Over New IRA Murder Bid On Police
Detectives investigating a police murder bid by the New IRA are conducting a number of searches in Strabane. A 28 year-old man was arrested in the Co Tyrone town after a mortar device was discovered aimed at a police station on Saturday 07 September.
