Two Arrested In Connection With Theft From L'Derry Church

A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a theft from a church in Pennyburn in L'Derry.

At around 4.30pm on Tuesday 25 April, officers from Ballyarnett Neighbourhood Policing Team received a report that money in charity boxes from within a church was stolen. A vehicle was reported as being involved. Officers from Foyleside and The Moor Neighbourhood Policing Team on patrol in the Strand Road area of the city yesterday evening located a vehicle matching the description of the car suspected to be involved.

Following enquiries, a 42-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman were both arrested on suspicion of theft. They both remain in custody at this time, assisting with enquiries.

Enquiries are ongoing and anyone who was in the area yesterday afternoon, and saw anything suspicious, is asked to call police on 101, quoting reference 2285 of 25th April. Man Injured After Shots Fired At House In Rathfriland
An investigation has been launched after shots were fired at a house in Rathfriland in the early hours of this morning, Tuesday, 05 March. Police received a report that two shots had been fired through the front window of a house in the Wright's Park area at around 12.35am, causing minor injuries to a man who was in the living room at the time.

Two Men Arrested In £500,000 Drug Seiure In South Belfast
Two men have been arrested in connection with a £500,000 drug seizure following searches in South Belfast. On Friday, 01 March, detectives from the PSNI's Organised Crime Branch stopped and searched two vehicles in the Lisburn Road area. Class B controlled drugs were recovered from both vehicles which were also subsequently seized.

Appeal Following Spate Of Burglaries Across Coleraine
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a recent spate of burglaries in Coleraine. On the morning of Sunday, 25 February, police received a report of a break-in at a house in the Magheraboy Road area of Portrush. It is believed that the burglary occurred sometime overnight on Saturday evening, 24th February.
