Man Arrested In Connection With Dromara Assault

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara.

Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises. Two men, one man aged in his 60s and one man aged in his 30s, were treated at hospital for their injuries.

"A 22 year old man was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage, possessing an offensive weapon in a public place and other related offences. He was released on police bail pending further enquiries.

"Enquiries are continuing to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and we would appeal to anyone with any information in relation to the incident, should contact police on 101 quoting reference number 1909 15/12/23. "Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime."

Investigation Launched After Woman Sexually Assaulted In L'Derry
An investigation has launched after a woman has been hospitalised following a sexual assault in L'Derry in the early hours of Sunday morning. The incident occurred in the Lecky Road area at around 1.15am. The woman, aged in her 50s, was approached by a man who pulled her into an alleyway and sexually assaulted her.

Man Arrested Following Incident At House In Coleraine
A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.
