Man Charged With Attempted Murder In Kilkeel

A 42-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder and a number of other offences in connection with a domestic incident in the Kilkeel area on Friday, 30th June.

The PSNI's Public Protection Branch have charged the man with attempted murder, grievous bodily harm with intent, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, common assault and two counts of witness intimidation.

The man is due to appear before Newry Magistrates' Court today, Monday, 3rd July.

As is usual procedure, all charges will be reviewed by the Public Prosecution Service.

Four Charged In Connection With Blake Newland Murder
Four people are due to appear before Ballymena Magistrates' Court charged in connection with the murder of 17-year-old Blake Newland. The Limavady teenager died after being found with serious stab wounds at a house in the town on Friday, 02 February. Detectives investigating the murder, have now charged two men, aged 27 and 29, with murder.

15-Year-Old Arrested Following Stabbing In Lisburn
A 15-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the stabbing of a 14-year-old in the Knockmore Road area of Lisburn last night, Monday 25th March. Police have said that at approximately 7.40pm on Monday 25 March, a 14-year-old boy had been approached by a group of teenagers, before being stabbed in the lower back.
