Start Of Foyle Cup Marked With Parade In L'Derry
The official start of the Foyle Cup has been marked with a parade in L'Derry.
600 teams will take part in the tournament with clubs travelling from mainland Europe and North America to play in the tournament. The first Foyle Cup took place in 1992 with just eight teams participating.
Several matches were played on Monday 17 July, however, the competition was formally opened by a parade from Ulster University Magee campus on Tuesday 18 July.
The parade was led by the Lislaird pipe band with thousands of participants and spectators in attendance. The parade finished outside the Guildhall.
The tournament includes a disability section with four clubs taking part. The teams include Oxford Bulls FC (L'Derry), Downs and Proud (Lurgan), Well Wane Warriors (Newry) and Hanwood Down Syndrome (Belfast).
The rest of the tournament's groups consist of both boys and girls youth teams up to the U19 level. Except one group made up of senior ladies clubs.

Traffic And Travel Advice Ahead Of Royal Black Preceptory Parades
Motorists across Northern Ireland are advised to expect significant traffic disruption this Saturday, 30 August, due to the annual Royal Black Preceptory demonstrations.
