Appeal For Information On Petrol Bomb Attack In Coleraine

PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a petrol bomb attack in Coleraine in the early hours of this morning, Friday 11th August.

Making the appeal, Detective Inspector Lavery said: "Just after 1.40am, police received a report that a petrol bomb had been lit and thrown through the front window of a property in the Laburnum Place area.

"When officers attended, the fire had been extinguished.

"Thankfully, no one was injured in this reckless attack, but extensive smoke damage was caused to the living room of the property.

"This is being treated as arson with intent to endanger life and we are appealing to anyone who may have seen anyone suspicious in the area at the time of the fire, or anyone who may have CCTV or doorbell footage that could assist with enquiries, to contact police on 101 quoting reference number 95 of 11/08/23.

"Alternatively, you can to submit a report online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/.

Investigation Launched Into Petrol Bomb Attack In Ballymena
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a petrol bomb incident in the Queen Street area of Ballymena. Shortly before 10.15pm on Monday, March 4, it was reported that two petrol bombs were thrown through the living room window of a house in the area. Neither of the petrol bombs ignited.

Police Release Statement On Easter Monday Events In Creggan
The PSNI have released a statement on the events which took place in Creggan on Easter Monday. Derry City & Strabane Area Commander Chief Superintendent Gillian Kearney said that "police received an 11/1 on Saturday 30th March in relation only to an event in the City Cemetery in Creggan" which would be taking place on 1 April.

Appeal For Information On Ballycastle Petrol Bomb Attack
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a petrol bomb attack on a house in Ballycastle on Saturday 12th August. At approximately 8am police received a report that a petrol bomb had been thrown at a property in the Fogarty Crescent area. Damage was caused to a window, but there are no reports of any injuries.

Appeal For Information On Lurgan Petrol Bomb Attacks
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after petrol bombs was thrown at two house in Lurgan on Wednesday, 28 June. Shortly before 1.20am, police received a report that two petrol bombs were thrown at two houses in the Tannaghmore View area. There were no reports of any injuries but both houses suffered scorch damage.
