Community Transport 'Must Be Protected'
Sinn Féin has said the NI Assembly needs to start working again as community transport "must be protected".
Cathal Boylan, a Sinn Féin MLA made the comments at an event at Stormont which marked 25 years of rural community transport.
Mr Boylan said: "Community transport is a vital service to help people in communities to travel and prevent isolation particularly in rural areas, and it must be protected.
"The elderly and some of our most vulnerable people in rural communities rely heavily on these services.
"Savage Tory cuts to our public services are threatening the future of these services.
"We need the Assembly up and running now to support vital community transport and support services in rural communities."
