Cathal Boylan said: "The additional £1 million investment in community transport secured last year by Infrastructure Minister Liz Kimmins has ensured this vital service has not only been maintained, but expanded.

"Whether it is people living in isolated rural areas or older people without access to a car, community transport plays a crucial role in keeping people connected, independent and socially active.

"I welcome the minister's commitment to continuing to do all she can to support community transport providers and the many people who rely on them as a lifeline."
