Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder In Bangor
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in connection with a serious assault in Bangor.
The 41-year-old has been arrested after a man, aged in his 40s, was found with a "significant head injury" in the Fort Road area.
The victim was treated at the scene by emergency services before being transferred to hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.
The suspect was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and a number of other related offences including, possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence. He remains in custody at this time as enquiries continue.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Dungannon on Saturday, 1 November 2025, in which a woman sustained a serious injury. Police responded to a report shortly before 11.30am that a woman, aged in her 40s, had received a serious leg injury inside a property in the Altmore Drive area of the town.

Shots were fired at one of the men as he ran away, however thankfully he was not struck.
