Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder In Dungannon
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident in Dungannon on Saturday, 1 November 2025, in which a woman sustained a serious injury.
Police responded to a report shortly before 11.30am that a woman, aged in her 40s, had received a serious leg injury inside a property in the Altmore Drive area of the town.
Officers attended the scene quickly and administered first aid until colleagues from other emergency services arrived. The injured woman was then taken to hospital for treatment.
Following a series of enquiries, police subsequently arrested a man, also aged in his 40s, in the Armagh area. He was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody, assisting police with their ongoing investigation.
Chief Inspector Graham Dodds appealed for public assistance: "Our investigation is ongoing, and I would appeal to anyone who has any information to contact 101, quoting reference 723 of 1/11/25."

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. The suspect has been arrested on suspicion of possessing of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an offence and assault on police.
