Prescription Drugs Seized In Ballymena Search Operation
The PSNi have seized a large quantity of prescription drugs during a planned search operation of a house in Ballymena.
Officers from Ballymena Neighbourhood Policing Team and the District Support Team (DST) in conjunction with the Medicines Regulatory Group, conducted the search on Tuesday, 03 September. Approximately 140,000 tablets were recovered along with various assorted unlicensed medicines.
The search followed reports of several postal intercepts at the address.
Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with concerns or information about the supply of drugs in their area is asked to contact police on 101.
Alternatively, information can also be provided to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.

Suspected Drugs Worth £2,250 Recovered In Ballymena
Officers from the Ballymena District Support Team recovered suspected drugs, cash, and electronic devices following a search at a property in the St Patrick's area of the town. The search was conducted on Monday, 6 October. As a result, quantities of suspected Class A, B, and C drugs were recovered, with an estimated value of £2,250.

Car discovered at bottom of lake
A car has been recovered by emergency services from the bottom of a lake in Co Down on Wednesday. Following a tip-off to police, the submerged vehicle was discovered at Ballylough lake on the outskirts of Castlewellan at around 7.30pm yesterday.

Concern Over Rise In Drug & Alcohol Related Deaths
An SDLP MLA is urging members of the public to "wake up to the deadly dangers of drug and alcohol misuse" after a spate of deaths related to addiction in recent weeks. Mark Durkan's comments follow the publication of new official figures which show alcohol-related deaths are at a record high in Northern Ireland.

Officers Arrested In Connection With Prescription Drugs Probe
Two police officers have been arrested as part of an investigation into a number of potential offences. The offences included theft and distribution of prescription drugs. The officers were detained by Police Ombudsman investigators on Thursday morning, 07 December. They were arrested at police stations in Co Antrim.
