Residents Escape Injury After Arson Attack In North Belfast
A number of residents have escaped injury following an arson attack at a flat in north Belfast.
Liquid was poured over a door and set on fire at a property in the Skegoneill Avenue area on Thursday evening, 05 September.
The NIFRS attended the scene and extinguished the blaze.
Detective Sergeant McGearty said: "It was reported at around 8:45pm that a liquid had been poured over a door at a flat in the Skegoneill Avenue area and set alight. "Our colleagues from the NIFRS attended and extinguished the fire. There were several people in the property at the time of the incident, thankfully none of them were injured.
"We are appealing to anyone with any information about this incident, or who may have doorbell/CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area which may be able to help with the investigation, to call police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference number 1594 of 05/09/24."

East Belfast Fire Being Investigated As Arson
PSNI Detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of arson at the Dunraven Court area of east Belfast on Monday 26th August. Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "Shortly after 3:35am, it was reported that a white Mercedes CLA and a silver Volkswagen Tiguan were set alight.

Two Arrested In Belfast Hate Crime Incident
Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a racially motivated hate crime that occurred in south Belfast on Tuesday, October 1st. According to Chief Inspector Mark Conway, Area Commander for south Belfast, police responded to a report of a disturbance at a business in the Donegall Place area.
