Police Appeal For Information On 'Horrific' Assault In Belfast
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a serious assault on a man in Belfast.
Shortly after 9pm on Sunday, 15th September, a man, aged in his 30s, was found seriously injured in an alleyway just off the Azamor Street area of north Belfast.
The man had suffered lacerations to his head and both arms and legs had been broken.
He continues to be treated in hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
Police are working to establish what happened, who was involved and a motive. Making an appeal, the PSNI said: "Horrific violence has been inflicted on this man that will leave physical and mental scars and trauma that may never heal. No good comes from this – ever.
"Anyone with information that could help our investigation is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1575 15/09/24.
"We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage of the area yesterday evening, Sunday 15th September.
"A report can be submitted online using the non-emergency reporting form via www.psni.police.uk/makeareport/

Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. Robbery Investigation Underway In North Belfast
Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a robbery that occurred in north Belfast on Saturday evening, 05 October. The incident took place around 7:45 PM at a commercial premises on the Crumlin Road. A masked man, dressed entirely in black, entered the establishment armed with a weapon.

Missing Man Found 'Safe And Well'
Missing man Declan Mawhinney has been found safe and well, according to the police. Mr Mawhinney, 46, went missing from Letterkenny on Saturday at approximately 11.40pm. A missing person appeal was launched by the police and his family. He was located in Letterkenny on Tuesday. Police thank the public for their assistance.

Police Officers Disciplined For Failing To Tell Doctor About Woman's Head Injuries
Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a report of an assault at licenced premises at the Rathfriland Road area of Dromara. Detective Inspector Bell said: "Shortly before 10:10pm on Friday 15th December, it was reported that an altercation occurred at a bar in the area following three men refused entry to the premises.
