Teenagers Threaten Young Girl With Knife In West Belfast
An investigation has been launched into an incident in which a 13-year-old girl was threatened with a knife by three teenage boys in west Belfast.
At around 8.15pm on Thursday 5 December, the girl was walking up the steps in the Stewartstown Road park (Páirc Nua Chollann) across from Colin Connect when she was approached by three boys. The boys verbally abused the young girl before one of them produced a small "flick knife" and "held it up towards the victim". The girl was able to run away from the boys and was physically unharmed. The suspects are described all wearing black tracksuits and black snoods which covered their faces. All are understood to have been teenagers with local accents.
Anyone who witnessed this encounter or who can help police enquiries is asked to call 101, quoting reference 1522 05/12/24.

Concerns have been raised for a two-year-old girl onboard a damaged oil tanker anchored at Belfast Lough, waiting to have its cargo transferred to another vessel. The Genmar Companion has been anchored off the Copeland Islands since a crack developed in its upper deck on 16 December.

Priest condemns tar attack on teens as 'child abuse'
A north Belfast priest has labelled a paramilitary group, who chained two teenagers to a lamppost and covered them in tar, as "child abusers". Father Aidan Troy called an ambulance for the boys, aged 14 and 15, after they were taken from their north Belfast homes during last night's attack.

Girl, 12, Killed In Newry Beach Buggy Crash
A 12-year-old girl has died in a crash involving a beach buggy in Newry. The girl was travelling on the buggy with another 14-year-old girl when they collided with a pick-up trick at around 2.50pm on the Flagstaff Road in Cloughogue on Saturday, 18 November. The 12-year-old girl died from her injuries.
