Man Arrested Following Assault In Belfast City Centre
A man has been arrested following an assault in Belfast City Centre in the early hours of Thursday, February 13th.
Police received a report that a white and black coloured Audi pulled up outside a licensed premises in the Patterson's Place area sometime between 2am and 3am.
The driver of the vehicle exited and punched a man, followed by a passenger who struck the victim with a crowbar.
The victim sustained injuries to his head and leg. A short time later, police arrested a man in his 20s in Downpatrick on suspicion of a number of offences, including possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence and assault occasioning actual bodily harm. He has since been released on bail.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the attack or to anyone with CCTV, doorbell or other footage that could assist with enquiries to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference 144 13/02/24," said Sergeant Young.
Alternatively, information can also be given anonymously to the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.

A 43-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an incident at a house in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. It happened at a property on Knockantern Grove in the Mountsandel area on Tuesday, 16 August. Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Attempted Murder
A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder over an attack in Coleraine, Co L'Derry. A man, aged in his 50s, is in a critical condition in hospital after he was assaulted at a house on the Ballycastle Road on Monday, 26 September. Two other men were also arrested and have been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Man Charged Over Murder Of Anne O'Neill
A 27-year-old man has been charged with the murder of Anne ONeill. The 51-year-old victim died from her injuries following an incident at a house in the Ardmore Avenue area in Finaghy on Saturday, 21 October. The suspect is due to appear before Belfast Magistrates' Court on Wednesday, 25 October.

A woman has been arrested following the sudden death of a man in Magherafelt. A 46-year-old man died in L'Derry in the early hours of Tuesday, 05 December. Police are treating the death as suspicious. A 32-year-old woman has been arrested and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Man arrested over Electoral Office fraud
A 58-year-old man from Co Tyrone has been arrested and charged following a police investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in the west of the province. The man was charged with 30 offences, 17 of which relate to theft and 13 of fake accounting. He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.
