Three die in separate road accidents

Three people have died following two separate road accidents in counties Down and Londonderry.

A 22-year-old man and 17-year-old girl died following a crash on the main Dublin Road near Newry.

Two passengers were also critically injured in the two-car smash which occurred close to the Forkhill Road roundabout just before 1am on Friday.

In Londonderry, a woman has been killed following a collision between a car and lorry on Hollyhall Road on Thursday night.

The victim has been named as 44-year-old Maureen Ward from Circular Road in the city.

Two people die in separate road accidents
Two people have died following separate road accidents in Counties Down and Fermanagh on Tuesday. In the first accident a man died following a crash between two cars on the main Belfast to Holywood road shortly after 5.30pm. He died in hospital a short time later.

Two die in separate road accidents
Two people have died in separate road accidents in Counties Londonderry and Down. In the latest accident, a man died following a road traffic accident in Ballynahinch on Wednesday. The accident occurred on the Crossgar Road at around 10.30am. Only one vehicle is believed to have been involved. The victim's name has yet to be released.
