Two Arrested Following Stabbing Incident In West Belfast

Police have arrested two men following a reported stabbing incident that occurred in west Belfast in the early hours of Monday, 26 May.

Sergeant Patterson stated that officers received a report at approximately 2:45am of an altercation involving two men in the Falls Road area. It was reported that one of the men left the scene, only to return shortly after with a flick/pen knife. A physical fight then ensued, during which the male victim sustained stab wounds to his hands and elbow. He was subsequently taken to hospital for treatment.

Police later arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of possession of an article with a blade or point in a public place, and another man, also in his 30s, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. Both individuals remain in custody, assisting with ongoing enquiries.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping

A man is to appear in court charged in possession of heroin. Police arrested five people during searches of a property in Newry on Wednesday, 16 January. Two men have also been charged in possession of a Class A drug. A 50-year-old woman has also been charged with permitting premises to be used for the supply of a Class A drug.

Three Arrested In Connection With Ballymena Murder
Police are treating the death of a 69-year-old man from Ballymena as murder. The victim was discovered in the Drumtara area on Tuesday afternoon. Two men, aged 41 and 49, and a woman, 47, have been arrested and are in police custody. Police are appealing to anyone with information to contact them.

Man Arrested Over Serious Assault In Belfast City Centre
A man has been arrested in connection with an assault in Belfast city centre in the early hours of Sunday 02 April. Detective Sergeant Kennedy said: "Shortly after 4:05am, it was reported that three men were assaulted in the area by another man. Three 18-year-old men were taken to hospital for their injuries.

Four Men Arrested Over Explosive Device In West Belfast Released
Four men arrested in connection with an explosive device in west Belfast last year have been released from custody. The device was found in the Pantridge Road area on 30 October. Three men arrested under the Terrorism Act have been released unconditionally.
