Police Investigate Report Of Suspicious Activity Involving School Child
Police are investigating a report of suspicious activity on Jubilee Way in Newtownabbey this morning, Monday, 6 October.
Chief Inspector Mullan confirmed that the PSNI received a report around 8.10am regarding an alleged interaction between a woman in a vehicle and a school child.
The Chief Inspector emphasised that every report of this nature is taken seriously and reassured the local community that officers are investigating the incident thoroughly. Chief Inspector Mullan addressed online speculation regarding the report, encouraging the public not to engage, as it is "unhelpful and the facts can often become distorted."
The PSNI is appealing for witnesses and is asking anyone who may have witnessed any suspicious activity in the area, or who has relevant dash-cam, CCTV, or other footage, to contact them on 101, quoting reference number 219 of 06/10/25.

HSE Investigate Sudden Death In Co Antrim
An investigation has been launched into the sudden death of a man in Doagh, Co Antrim. Police were called to commercial premises on the Kilbride Road at about 21:00 on Tuesday. It is understood that a 57-year-old man has died. A post-mortem is due to be carried out to establish the cause of death.
