Click Energy To Raise Electricity Tariff by 3.5%

Click Energy is set to increase its electricity tariff by 3.5% from Friday, 1 November 2025.

This increase will see the annual electricity costs for a typical customer rise by around £40 per year.

The increase is unwelcome news for approximately 33,000 Click Energy consumers, with the main drivers cited as rising wholesale and market-related charges.

Raymond Gormley, Head of Energy at the Consumer Council, detailed the impact: "A typical Click Energy credit customer will see their annual electricity bill increase from around £1,141 to £1,171 and a typical prepayment customer will see their annual costs increase to around £1,181."

Mr Gormley encouraged consumers to review their energy payments, noting that being on a standard tariff and paying on receipt of a bill is the most expensive method. He suggested that consumers could save money by switching payment or billing methods, or by changing supplier entirely.

The Consumer Council provides a free independent energy price comparison tool on its website to help consumers compare all electricity and gas tariffs across Northern Ireland.
