Appeal After Woman Robbed At Knifepoint

Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Antrim on Tuesday, 14 October.

The incident occurred at approximately 8.30pm as a woman in her 40s was walking along the Greystone path in the Rathmore Gardens area.

Detective Sergeant Ash confirmed the woman was approached from behind by an unknown man carrying a bladed object. The suspect placed the blade against her neck, ordered her to be quiet, and stole her purse, which contained bank cards and a sum of cash.

The man then made off on foot in the direction of Ballycraigy.

He is described as white, approximately 6ft, of slim build, and wearing dark clothing and gloves.

Police said the victim was left "terrified and upset" by the ordeal. Enquiries are ongoing, and officers are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident, noticed suspicious behaviour, or has CCTV or mobile footage from the area between 8pm and 8.30pm to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1725 14/10/25.

Police have said they believe missing Omagh man, Shane Sharkey, has been found in the Republic of Ireland. A police appeal for help in finding the 35-year-old has been cancelled, with police saying they now believe they know where he is. The attack is thought to have happened in a walkway in the Johnston Park area between 1am and 3am on Sunday (30 November). Appeal For Information On 'Racially-Motivated' Assault
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the assault of a woman in L'Derry which is believed to have been racially-motivated. A woman was walking in the Dungiven Road area of the city at about 2pm on Sunday 11 September when she was attacked by unknown man.
