Investigation Launched Following Robbery In South Belfast

An investigation has been launched following a robbery at commercial premises in the Ormeau Road area ofsouth Belfast on Monday, 20 October.

A man pulled out what is believed to have been a small object which had a blade on it and demanded money.

He made off with a sum of cash.

Detective Sergeant McVeagh said: "The suspect is described as being aged in his late 30s, approximately 6 ft 2 ins tall, and wearing a ski mask, a yellow and grey high visibility jacket, grey hoodie and grey and black bottoms.

"Our enquiries are ongoing this morning, and we are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time, or who has any information which might assist, to get in touch with detectives.

"The number to call is 101, quoting reference number 1389 of 20/10/25."

Man Dies In Motorway Collision
A man has been killed in a collision on the M2 motorway on Sunday. A woman was also injured in the crash and is in a critical condition in hospital. The incident occurred at the Dunsilly roundabout at approximately 5.45pm. The man who died was the driver of a dark grey Vauxhall VX220 sports car.

Woman Dies Following Collision In Newtownabbey
A woman has died in hospital following a collision on the Doagh Road in Newtownabbey on Monday, 13th January. Shortly before 6.15pm, police received a report of a collision involving a grey Seat Ateca and a pedestrian. The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 80s, was taken to hospital but has since died as a result of her injuries.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following an armed robbery at a salon in south Belfast. Two men, armed with a knife and a baseball, entered the salon on the Lisburn Road at about 7:40pm on Sunday 20 February.

Investigation Launched Following Carjacking In South Belfast
Police have launched an investigation following a carjacking in south Belfast on Tuesday, 19 April. The owner of a Smart car was threatened by a man, after parking the vehicle at around 10pm in Stockmans Lane, and told to hand over his keys. The man made off in the vehicle in the direction of the motorway.

Armed Robbery At L'Derry Shop
Detectives in L'Derry are appealing for information following an armed robbery that on the evening of Saturday 11 January in the Park Avenue area. At about 20:40, two males entered a commercial premises and demanded money. One of the robbers was armed with a wheel brace. The pair made off with a sum of cash in the direction of Upper Nassau Street.
