The app provides accessible tax and financial information for all ages, including tools to check State Pension forecasts and claim Child Benefit.
Since 6 April 2025, over 5.6 million people have used the HMRC app.
HMRC revealed its most popular app services used by millions of customers:
• 4.14 million users: Checked their pay before it was deposited and viewed other Pay As You Earn (PAYE) information.
• 1.94 million users: Viewed their annual tax summary.
• 1.79 million users: Viewed or saved their National Insurance number or checked contributions.
• 1.49 million users: Checked their State Pension forecast.
• 1.19 million users: Viewed their Self Assessment summary and made payments.
Myrtle Lloyd, HMRC's Chief Customer Officer, emphasised the ease of access provided by the digital service: "It's not always easy talking about finances, especially between generations.
