NI Apprenticeship Week 2026 Announced

Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Week 2026 will return from Monday 02 to Friday 06 February 2026, Economy Minister Dr Caoimhe Archibald has announced.

The annual event is designed to raise the profile and showcase the opportunities available within Northern Ireland's apprenticeship programmes. It will feature events across all regions and occupational sectors, offering practical insights and real opportunities for those interested.

Minister Archibald encouraged participation from all stakeholders: “Apprenticeship Week provides a great platform on which to raise the profile and showcase the very best within our apprenticeship programmes as well as the many opportunities available. Whether you are an apprentice or an employer, or just interested in finding out more about apprenticeships, the week-long programme will have something for everyone. I would encourage all who are interested to get involved."

The programme offers a valuable opportunity for individuals—whether they are finishing school or considering a career change—to explore how apprenticeships can shape their future success.

For employers, including large corporations, local SMEs, and public sector organisations, Apprenticeship Week 2026 serves as a platform to discover the benefits apprentices bring, understand how the programmes work, and learn about available funding options to strengthen their workforce, drive innovation, and support long-term business growth.

From workshops and open days to networking and award ceremonies, a full programme of in-person and virtual events will be available at www.nidirect.gov.uk/campaigns/apprenticeships
