US Tech Firm Biller Genie To Create 100 New Jobs With Belfast Office

Economy Minister Dr. Caoimhe Archibald has announced a significant boost for the local tech sector with the news that US tech firm Biller Genie is establishing a new office in Belfast, committing to the creation of 100 high-quality jobs over the next three years.

Headquartered in Florida, Biller Genie provides a cloud-based platform that automates bill presentment, follow-up, online payments, and reconciliation for Accounts Receivable.

The decision to choose Northern Ireland followed a rigorous evaluation process that included considering locations such as Orlando, India, and South America.

Thomas Aronica, Founder and CEO of Biller Genie, stated that Northern Ireland stood out due to its "exceptional talent pool, world-class universities, and thriving tech community."

The new roles will span engineering, product development, and operational functions, with average salaries of £65,000.

Twenty of the roles are already in place, with future positions including software architects, senior developers, engineering managers, and business analysts. Invest NI's support for the investment will see the new jobs contribute £6.5 million in additional annual salaries to the local economy.

Minister Archibald called the investment a "vote of confidence in our skilled workforce" and noted that hybrid working arrangements will help ensure greater accessibility and regional balance. The Minister also confirmed she will be travelling to Boston later today to showcase Northern Ireland’s advantages to potential investors.
