Police Investigate Sexual Assault On Woman In Lurgan Park

Police are investigating a sexual assault on a woman that occurred in Lurgan Park on Tuesday, 18 November 2025.

The incident took place at approximately 7.55am as the woman, who had been walking her dogs, returned to her vehicle. She was grabbed by an unknown man and forcibly groped.

The victim was able to defend herself, hitting and kicking the attacker, which forced him to flee the scene.

The suspect is described as being in his late 20s or early 30s, approximately six feet tall, and of a slim build. A distinct feature noted was a mole on the left side of his face. At the time of the attack, he was wearing a black puffer jacket, black bottoms, and black and red trainers.

Armagh, Banbridge, & Craigavon District Commander Superintendent Brendan Green assured the public: "Park users and local residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area, and in Lurgan more generally, over coming days as we increase patrols in order to keep people safe."

Officers investigating the attack are aware that a number of people were in and around the park at that time. While police have spoken to many, they are urging anyone who has not yet made contact to please get in touch and share any information or sightings they may have.
