Police Appeal After Sexual Assault On Teenager In South Belfast
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a report of a sexual assault on a teenage girl in south Belfast on Saturday, 22 November 2025.
Sergeant Ashe confirmed that police received the report at around 9.30pm. The incident occurred when the teenager was waiting for a bus in the Adelaide Street area of the city with her friends.
An unknown male approached the girl, then groped her and made sexual comments towards her.
The suspect is described as being approximately in his mid-40s, of a heavy build, and bald with a black beard. He was wearing a beige jacket with pockets and blue jeans. Police are appealing to anyone who was in the Adelaide Street area of Belfast between 8:30 pm and 9:45 pm on Saturday and saw anything suspicious to come forward.
"We would appeal to anyone who saw anything suspicious, or who might have information which could assist with our investigation, to contact us on the 101 number, quoting reference 785 of 10/11/25," said Sergeant Ashe.
Officers are also keen to speak with anyone who may have CCTV, dash-cam, or other footage that could help with their ongoing enquiries into the assault.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information and witnesses following a fire at a church and church hall in Greenisland last night, Sunday 1st September. At approximately 9.10pm, police received a report of a fire at the property on the Station Road. Police and the Northern Ireland Fire Service attended and the blaze was extinguished.
