Arson Attack In Newtownards Treated As Intent to Endanger Life
Detectives are appealing for information and witnesses following an arson attack at a house in Newtownards on Tuesday, 25th November.
Police received a report at approximately 10:00 pm on Tuesday night of a fire in the Killard Avenue area of the town. Officers attended the scene alongside the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS), who extinguished the blaze.
Detective Sergeant Gray confirmed that damage was caused to the front door area, and graffiti was also discovered on a wall of the property.
The occupant was able to escape the property without injury.
"However, we are treating this report as arson with intent to endanger life, and enquiries are ongoing today to determine a motive and who was involved," Detective Sergeant Gray said. Police are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious to contact them. They are especially appealing to the public for information regarding:
• A dark coloured car seen in the area around 10:00 pm.
• Any CCTV, dash-cam, or other video footage of the Killard Avenue area.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 1575 24/11/25.

PSNI Detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of arson at the Dunraven Court area of east Belfast on Monday 26th August. Detective Sergeant Kitchen said: "Shortly after 3:35am, it was reported that a white Mercedes CLA and a silver Volkswagen Tiguan were set alight.

Man Injured In Arson Attack In L'Derry
Police have issued an appeal for information following an arson incident in L'Derry. A man is being treated in hospital for injuries he sustained while trying to extinguish a fire on a vehicle outside a house in the Sevenoaks area of the city in the early hours of Sunday morning.

Appeal For Information On Kilkeel Arson Attacks
The PSNI have issued an appeal for information following the report of two arson incidents in the Kilkeel area. It was reported to police that at around 2.25am on Monday 06 May, that a Volkswagen Passat parked in the Munro Villas area had the windows smashed and an accelerant poured inside. The vehicle was set alight and extensively damaged.
