Arrest Made In Connection With Lisa Dorrian Murder

Detectives from the Police Service of Northern Ireland’s (PSNI) Major Investigation Team have confirmed that an arrest has been made in the ongoing investigation into the murder of 25-year-old Lisa Dorrian.

A 68-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of a number of serious offences, specifically: murder, assisting offenders, withholding information, and preventing a lawful and decent burial. Following questioning by police the man was released.

Lisa Dorrian was last known to be alive on the night of Sunday 27 February 2005. She was last seen in the Ballyhalbert area of County Down.

Detectives investigating the murder of 25-year-old Lisa Dorrian have today renewed their appeal for information, exactly one year after her disappearance. The investigation team will send text messages to mobile phones belonging to people living in the North Down, Newtownards and Ards Peninsula area, in a bid to elicit more information.

Police arrest man in connection with Lisa murder
Police have arrested a man in connection with the killing of Bangor woman Lisa Dorrian. The 18-year-old man was arrested in the Greater Belfast area on Tuesday morning, detectives have confirmed. Three men have already questioned about the killing but were later released.

Man released in Lisa Dorrian probe
A 22-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the murder of Bangor woman Lisa Dorrian has been released without charge. He was the fifth person to be questioned in connection with the 25-year-old’s death after she went missing following a party at a caravan site in Ballyhalbert on 28 February. Her body has yet to be found.

Police End Searches Linked To Lisa Dorrian Murder
Police searches in Comber linked to the murder of Lisa Dorrian have ended. Ms Dorrian, 25, was last seen at a caravan site in Ballyhalbert on 28 February 2005. Her body has never been found. No human remains were found during the searches however a number of items have been removed for further examination.
